Seven boys from Altha lifted in the Section 2 Finals. Chris Oney, Garrison Hutchison, Christian Bailey, Tristan Griffin, Michael Knight, Ryan Fielder and Robert Reed all competed for a chance to qualify for the state finals.
Michael Knight and Tristan Griffin both won their weight classes and advanced to state final. On April 18 they will compete against the top 18 lifters in the state for a chance at a state medal. Both Michael and Tristan are ranked in the top 3 in their respective classes. Both boys are undefeated on the season. The 2015 State Weightlifting Finals will take place Saturday, April 18 in Kissimmee Florida.
